There are several, spectacular day hikes in the countryside surrounding Pokhara, which we can tailor to suit your every level. Below are the most popular options:
This route starts in Kande, an hour’s drive from Pokhara. The hikes commences with a steady climb up to the Australian Camp, where you will be rewarded with some stunning views across the Annapurna Range. After pausing to catch our breath and take photos, we descend down through lush jungle, home to several species of colourful bird, before arriving in the charming village of Dhampus. Again, the views here are amazing, and it makes for the perfect lunch spot. You will also have the opportunity to chat with locals and learn about village life in this remote region.
The World Peace Pagoda is perched on a wooded hill overlooking the lakeside city of Pokhara. Nature-lovers may catch site of spot butterflies, dragonflies, and eagles. From here, you can enjoy outstanding views across the Annapurna range. We continue on to the peaceful farming village of Pumdi Bhumdi, a mixture of diverse Nepali castes and creeds.
Get away from the hordes of tourists in Pokhara and enjoy the serene waters of Begnas Lake, the second largest in the Pokhara Valley. The route starts in the quaint village of Kalika, an hour’s drive from Pokhara. From here, we wind down through postcard-perfect scenery to the lake, we were dine in a local restaurant. We will have time to walk around a section of the lake before returning to Pokhara.

"After two treks with a guide from Pokhara Mountain Tiger, I can highly recommend the services of Neema and his agency. My guide/porter was extremely trustworthy and friendly... They were quick and competent to answer my messages. Neema organised my trekking permits and the flight from Pokhara to Jomsom as well. Everything was perfect and very friendly."
“This was my first trekking experience and also my first time in Nepal. I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care and support I recieved from my guide... Nepal is a wonderful country: come and see for yourself!”
In 2007, I trekked the full Annapurna Circuit. Neema was my guide, porter, translator, cultural interpreter, and friend. Trekking with Neema was a delight. Neema’s knowledge of the trails was invaluable. I highly recommend him to take care of youl. He is friendly, funny, and super experienced. Have a great trek!
